| History: |
Taylor was born into a typical military family. His father, a decorated Major in the marine corps believed in a disaplined up-bringing for his 2 sons. It was the tradition in the Hayes family for the male children to enter the military.
The oldest of the two, John followed in his fathers footsteps and was one of the first to join MACO.
Meanwhile, Taylor wanted something different and so against his fathers wishes, he entered law school. In the autumn of 2151, he met his future wife to be, Cristina.
After graduating Law school, Tayor reconsiled with his father. In 2153, he applied to J.A.G. academy and was accepted.
Three months later, he married Cristina and they moved to Florida to start a new life together.
Tragedy struck at 10.24am on Wednesday 7th March 2153. Cristina and her unborn child were killed when the Xindi probe attacked Earth. Taylor was in college at the time. When he heard what had happened, he left for home immediately.
Still not fully recovered for the loss of his wife, he dropped out of J.A.G. and joined Marine Military Assualt Command Operations. It was the outlet he craved for the built up anger and frustration he felt.
His family was dealt another blow when Taylor's brother, John, who had been assigned to the Enterprise after the Xindi attack, was KIA during a rescue mission.
Starfleet fast-tracked the graduation of MACO personnel in order to provide a military presence on all starfleet vessels. In 2154 Taylor was assigned to his first posting aboard the Valaint. Then 6 months later, he was transferred to newst NX class ship, the Endeavour.
