**Restricted Information by order of Starfleet Command - Eyes Only**
October 10, 2137: Crewmembers of the Cargo Ship, Agamemnon, found a 9 year old boy (barely clothed and frightened) within the bowels of their vessel today. After an investigation attempting to determine how the child arrived unnoticed aboard the transport ship, the Captain of the Agamemnon stated that they will be returning immediately to Earth as to deliver the child to the proper Authorities.
"[Starfleet]'ll be able to get better results than we could..." Captain Marcus Hawkins stated in a brief interview. "We've got limited resources here, so - we just want to get this child back to his family as soon as possible."
Starfleet Command has confirmed that they will take possession of the child upon return to Earth in an effort to continue the investigation...
This minor footnote in the history of Starfleet was (in fact) THE major turning point in the young life of Aaron Michael Lawrence. When the Agamemnon returned the lad to San Francisco, Starfleet personnel initially spent days asking the public for assistance in locating the child's parents. However, the information that the child was providing did not assist in their efforts...
The child was claiming that he resided in Norfolk, VA with his parents Eric and Heather Lawrence. He supplied their address, his personal school information, and even the fact that his father was employed through the Navy. Concerning the broad aspects of his life, Starfleet found the child more than credible in the information...
However, there were several pieces of information that gave Starfleet considerable pause, such as the statements concerning his father and how he was stationed aboard a Los Angeles Class Submarine (apparently the USS Miami) as an Engineer. Upon further questioning, Starfleet found that Aaron's general belief was that he resided in the later half of the year 1990. He also believed 'baseball' was still an active sport within the American society. And when informed that he was at Starfleet Command, Aaron also claimed that he had never heard of the organization.
Starfleet (attempting to follow every lead) began a back study into the child's information. Researchers found that there was a noted incident from September 4, 1990 - in which Eric and Heather Lawrence of Norfolk, VA (Eric being stationed aboard the United States Submarine Miami: SSN-755) had lost their son Aaron Michael. Apparently, the child had been taken from their home in the early hours of the morning while the family slept - with no obvious signs of how the child was taken...
Upon locating a picture of the Lawrence's missing child, investigators were shocked to apparently see the same child there were holding!
Starfleet temporarily put that information to the side - finding the idea of time travel to be impossible. However, after three months of intensive searching, Starfleet was unable to find any additional answers: Aaron Michael Lawrence had somehow been transported into the 22nd Century...
Setting up an Adoption plan, Aaron was placed with Theodore and Rebecca Newton of Akron, OH. Aaron (hesitant about forming a relationship with them, at first) eventually grew to accept the couple (although not quite as parents) - gaining quite an affection for the otherwise childless couple. To this day, he enjoys spending time with his 'added family' and tries to keep them involved in his life as regularly as possible.
Generally, his first two years of adjusting to the 22nd Century (itself) were quite hard. Besides dealing with the general issues of the world around him, he also had a difficulty with the world he had left behind. Researching his past had became most difficult, especially in learning the events of the Eugenics Wars (in which his father Eric was killed) and World War III (where his mother and brother (unborn as of Aaron's time) had also been killed).
With time, however, Aaron started the process to amend himself and began moving forward. Eventually, he began showing great aptitude for areas of advanced study - eventually realizing such concepts as Warp Drive in addition to other Scientific ideas not realized in his own time. When he graduated from High School, he did so with top honors and was granted a four year college tuition to Ohio State University.
Aaron (however) asked to delay his admittance to the University. Deciding that in all of his acceptance to this new life, he still had two very important questions that he could not find answers: How did he come here and (to his mind, the most important question) Why...
Aaron set off on a year of exploration - searching every avenue of promise. He spoke with professors from several other universities: attempting to gain insight into the theories of Time Travel. He sought advice from experts in Sociology, and tried at answers as to why someone would remove another from a life they had known (believing that the incident was somehow an abduction) into a life of unknown (for no apparent reasons)...
However, in all of his research he only found one answer: that his best chance for obtaining answers would be through Starfleet...
After his year long 'road trip', Aaron arranged to carry through with his scholarship. Immediately picking up where he had left off, Aaron had found himself delving once again into study - but somehow had also found time to adapt into a more sociable nature. The sociable aspect had made such an impact, that Aaron eventually credited the fact of moving into a dormitory as being the absolute best way to adjust himself to this new time and life.
And although he had already made many advances in coping with his displacement, he still had one more valuable lesson left to learn...
In his second year of College, Aaron became very close to a fellow Classmate: Sarah Baker. Eventually they began dating, and after a few months the situation had become so serious that Aaron was about to propose marriage - finally prepared to put his old life completely behind him. But before he could commit himself to such an advancement in the relationship, Aaron felt the necessity for honesty, and wanted to tell Sarah about where he had came from and what had happened to him...
When he had done so, Sarah obviously did not believe him. She left him immediately - wanting nothing else to do with him. The breakup was devastating to Aaron, and almost cost him everything. In that instance, however, Aaron has learned to be more guarded with himself around others (but especially with the revelation of his past)...
Eventually working through his struggles, Aaron graduated Ohio State University - again with honors, but also with a Majoring in Space Sciences and a Minor in Warp Theory. Immediately, he set his course for Starfleet Command. Returning to San Francisco, he found that the Academy had all but been expecting him - Starfleet having kept close tabs on Aaron's progress over the years. After requesting that Aaron's general file be sealed for protective reasoning, Starfleet agreed to his admittance and processed Aaron into the Academy.
Aaron graduated Starfleet Command in 2155 as an Ensign in the Science Department Program (still retaining the Minor in Warp Theory from Ohio State). He was assigned shortly thereafter to the ESS Endeavour (NX-05), in which is his present assignment.
